Watch Video: Shame! Kanpur couple molested in park by men; girl forced to tie a rakhi on boy's wrist in the name of moral policing

In a shameful act, a Kanpur couple was allegedly molested by a group of men in the name of 'moral policing' while they were roaming around in a park. The incident came into the limelight after a video of the group molesting and threatening went viral on social media.

As per reports in ABP news, the couple were obstructed by the men, who lash out at them, threaten and warn them and thereafter they molest them. Not even this, they further force the girl to tie a rakhi on the wrist of the boy (her friend) and also force her to take a vow saying, “From now onward I have only brotherly relation with this man."

The men further threaten the boy to not repeat this again and said: “if you want to do this, then do it with girls of your religion.” Though the faces of the accused men can be clearly seen in the video, still the cops have not made any arrests so far.

Speaking on the incident Congress spokesperson Akhilesh Pratap Singh said, “They think they are responsible for fixing law and order. If a strict action is not taken, the jungle raj will turn into maha jungle raj”. “The spirits of such people are being raised by the government and they are being motivated” he added.

BJP on other hand assured action against the culprit, saying “Cops will investigate the case and will identify the faces of the accused”. He further said that if someone creates disturbance in the name of ‘jai shree ram,’ we would take strict action against such people”.
