Vikas Dubey’s wife speaks up, says would have killed him myself for what he did to policemen

Outlaw Vikas Dubey’s wife has stated that she would’ve killed him herself after what he did to the eight policemen in UP’s Kanpur.

Talking to media for the first time on Thursday, Vikas Dubey’s wife, Richa Dubey stated that the gangster can never be pardoned for what he did. “He destroyed the families of the eight policemen. We can’t show our faces in public. I would have shot him myself,” said Dubey’s wife.

Thinking back on the gruesome incident, Richa Dubey stated that Vikas phoned her around 2 am on 3rd July urging her to leave Bikru village. “He said that policemen are being attacked, you take our kids and leave. I told him that ‘I am fed up with all this’.”

She further stated that Vikas abused her after which she cut off the phone and departed from the village.

She also stated that she had very little knowledge about Vikas’ line of work, and who he was in touch with. She said that she used to drop by the village only when asked to.

Speaking with regard to her escape, Richa Dubey stated that she spent a week or so in a delapidated structure in Lucknow. “I thought only about my children. I knew I would never get any support from in-laws or my family,” said Richa.

“Vikas suffered an accident after which his brain developed a bubble. This resulted into an anxiety disorder and Vikas suffered from bouts of anger. He was being treated for this condition, but for the last 3-4 months, the treatment stopped which further aggravated his anger,” said Richa.

Vikas Dubey was shot down in an encounter by the special task force of Uttar Pradesh on 10th July after he attempted to escape while being brought to Kanpur from Madhya Pradesh.

He was taken into custody on 9th July from outside the Mahakal Temple in Ujjain after being on the run since the 3rd July attack on the police team out to catch him in Bikru village.

The autopsy report suggested that he had injuries on the head, elbow, rib and stomach on the right side of his body.

The Uttar Pradesh government has set up a one-member judicial commission to investigate the matter after opposition leaders claimed it to be a “fake encounter” to shield the identity of his political masters.

The commission led by retired justice SK Aggarwal has been handed two months’ time to submit its report.
