Popular Singer Sonu Nigam attacked the ‘secular’ Indians for mourning over the deadly terrorist attack on security personal convoy in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama on Thursday. In the worst terror attack on security forces in decades, over 40 jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were killed, and several injured.
Slamming to those ‘secular’ Indians, in a one-minute video shared on his Facebook page, Sonu Nigam asked the country’s citizens why are they mourning over the death of CRPF men who lost their lives in the attack. "Arre, 44 ho ya 440, aap log kyun dukh mana rahe ho itna? Isme dukh wali kya baat hai itni? Aap toh woh kariye jo iss desh mein sahi hai, jo secular log karte hai," he said.
"Inn baaton mein dukh manana chhod dijiye RSS pe, BJP pe, Hindutvavaadi, so-called rashtravaadi sansthaon pe. Aap toh woh kijiye jo yahaan par secular log karte hai. 'Bharat tere tukde honge', 'Afzal hum sharminda hai'. Shabaash! Agar India mein rehna hai, toh iss tarah ki secular soch aapki honi chahiye," the singer further attacked the "secular" citizen.
According to singer, saying Vande Mataram or Jai Hind was not acceptable in a "secular" country. "Vande Mataram bilkul mat bolna. Yahaan pe woh sab bolna wrong hai. Aur yeh dukh mat manaiye aap. CRPF ke log the, isme bohot badi baat toh nahi hai, hai na? Chaliye, milte hai. Namaste bhi yahaan nahi bolna. Lal salaam!" he said.
