Uttar Pradesh: Man shoots at wife as refuses to stay at his parents’ home
A shocking piece of news has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Shikohabad where a man allegedly shot at his wife after she refused to stay over at her in-laws’ residence.
The man fled away from the spot after shooting at his wife. The man identified as Pinki Thakur and the victim name is Shivani Singh.
They both have come to attend the sister’s wedding in Shikohabad, where he shoot at his wife.
The victim was admitted to a hospital in Firozabad from where she was shifted to the SN Medical college in Agra. Doctors said to be her in serious condition.
Know what happened:
Pinki and Shivani got hitched five years ago. They have been started living in Jaipur. Around 15 days ago, Shivani and Pinki came to Shikohabad to attent Pinki’s sister wedding.
After attending the wedding, Shivani wanted to return to their home in Jaipur while Pinki wanted to stay over at his parents’ residence with his wife. This led to conflict between the couple.
When the argument escalated between Pinki and Shivani, the man decided to kill his wife.
On Thursday evening the accused tricked his wife and made her believed that they were going back to Jaipur and took her to a Basai Mohammadpur area.
After reaching the spot, Pinki took out his country-made pistol and shot at his wife’s neck. Shivani got collapsed immediately and then, Pinki fled from the spot, thinking that she had died.
Some locals noticed Shivani and took her to a government hospital.
Rajesh Kumar, superintendent of police (SP) told The Times of India, "After the woman regained consciousness in the hospital, she gave her statement to the police, claiming that her husband had shot her as she was insisting on returning to Jaipur. "
Meanwhile, police is looking for the accused who is still at large.
