UP shocker: 15-year-old girl shot dead for rejecting love proposal

In a shocking incident reported from Uttar Pradesh’s Bhadohi, a 15-year-old girl was shot dead by a man in a case of unrequited love on Wednesday.

The deseased identified as Anuradha Bind was returning home from a coaching institute with her cousin sister, identified as Nisha, when the accused, Arvind Vishwakarma, aged 22, shot her in the head. She died on the spot, police said.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused was in love with the girl but she did not reciprocate his feelings. Angered by his relationship proposal being turned down, he shot the girl, Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar said.

Efforts are in progress to arrest the accused and further investigation into the matter is underway.
