UP: RSS' first 'Army' school to start from April in Bulandshahr; provides reservation to martyrs' children

The classes in Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh's (RSS) 'Army' school will begin in April this year in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr. The school will run on CBSE pattern.

According to reports, the school, known as Rajju Bhaiya Sainik Vidya Mandir (RBSVM), is the first of its kind school to be run by the RSS. The school has been named after a former RSS chief Rajju Bhaiyya.

While the school building is almost ready, the authorities have started inviting applications for admissions in the first batch. This apart, the school has also started the process of hiring teachers and administrative staff, with an aim to complete the hiring process by the end of February.

The principal of the school would be provided by RSS' educational wing Vidya Bharati.

The Rajju Bhaiyaa School will give admissions to students in 160 seats for Class 6.

"We will prepare students for NDA, Naval Academy and technical examination of the Indian Army. Registration will continue till February 23. The entrance test will be held on March 1. We will examine students'' abilities in reasoning, general knowledge, Mathematics, and English. After the written examination, there will be an interview and then a medical test. We will start the session from April 6," said RBSVM director Colonel Shiv Pratap Singh, according to news agency IANS.

The RBSVM will also give reservations to the children of personnel killed in battle. The wards of the martyrs will also get some age relaxation.

Both students and teachers of the fully residential school will have uniforms, light-blue shirt and dark-blue trouser for students; grey-colored trouser and white shirt for teachers.

According to an RSS functionary, "The idea is to give education, moral and spiritual guidance to students and this is possible only in a residential school."
