UP: 15-year-old girl allegedly raped, beaten up with iron rod by three men in Bareilly

A 15-year-old-girl was allegedly raped and beaten up with an iron rod by three men in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly, said police on Thursday.

Senior Superintendent of Police Shailesh Kumar Pandey stated that the accused took the girl to a secluded place and raped her on Wednesday. When the girl tried to hold out against their attempts to rape her, she was thrashed with an iron rod by the men, Pandey said.

One of the three accused also recorded the gruesome act and threatened to post the video on social media if she told anyone about the incident, police said.

With the basis of a complaint registered by the victim's father, a case has been registered against Mohit (25), Sumit (27) and Ankit (24).

Whilst, Mohit and Sumit were taken into custody on Wednesday, Ankit was still on the run, the SSP stated.
