'Those convicted of corruption claim to be custodians of truth,' Prashant Kishor's jibe at Lalu Yadav
Election strategist and vice-president of Janta Dal United Prashant Kishor has tapped in former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav and took a jibe at his wife Rabri Devi as the latter had claimed about a pre-poll alliance offered to the RJD.
Former CM Rabri Devi had earlier claimed that poll strategist Prashant Kishor met Lalu Prasad Yadav and had suggested that the RJD and Nitish Kumar’s JDU must forge an alliance for the 2019 Lok Sabha election.
Rabri Devi, in her statement had said, “All our staff and security personnel deployed here are witnesses. He called on us at least five times, mostly here (her 10, Circular Road residence), and one or two times at paanch number (5, Deshratna Marg - the bungalow allotted to her younger son Tejashwi Yadav).”
Miffed at her statement, Prashant Kishor tweeted asking Lalu Yadav to hold a press conference together and let the truth prevail, about who offered the alliance talks.
Prashant Kishor tweeted, “Those convicted or facing charges of abuse of public office and misappropriation of funds are claiming to be the custodians of truth. Lalu Prasad Yadav ji, Let's have a joint media interaction. Everyone will know the truth about the conversation between me and him; and the truth of who offered what?”
