Terrifying video shows bridge swept away in flood fury in MP
A petrifying clip of two bridges over a river being swept away in Madhya Pradesh’s Datia district has gone viral on the internet. The bridges were washed away after water was released from a dam.
One of the bridges can be seen crumbling down because of the powerful force of water from the Manikheda dam. The bridges wrecked becaused of the floods link up Datia to Gwalior.
Flood fury in Madhya Pradesh:
Defence aircraft on Monday kicked off rescue operations to evict people trapped in some flooded areas in Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri district in view of the fact that heavy downpour continued to batter vast areas of the state, mainly Shivpuri and adjacent Sheopur districts, causing two people dead, officials said.
In Sheopur, Deeraj Gurjar, aged 45, drowned in an open water filled pit while paying a visit to a temple, Karahal sub-divisional magistrate Brijender Singh Yadav said.
In Shivpuri area, a 50-year-old, identified as Sumanlata Joshi, lost his life due to electrocution when an electric current ran into her inundated house in the Kamlaganj area, a police officer said.
Water bodies overflowing in large parts of Madhya Pradesh:
Drains, rivers and other water reservoirs are in full spate in Sheopur and Shivpuri districts, according to officials, many water bodies are spilling over in many parts of Madhya Pradesh.
A number of regions of Sheopur, situated around 400 km from the state capital Bhopal, were flooded after the river Parvati forced itself through its banks following incessant downpour. Massive downpours battered Vijaypur tehsil in the district.
