Teen Girl Brutally Murdered in Delhi: 'Accused Sahil purchased knife 15 days ago from weekly market'

New Delhi was shaken by a horrific crime as a 16-year-old girl was brutally stabbed and bludgeoned to death in the Shahbad Dairy area. Delhi Police sources have revealed that the murder may have been premeditated, as the accused, 20-year-old Sahil, had purchased the murder weapon, a knife, two weeks prior to the incident.

The police are investigating the source of the knife and exploring whether the crime was a result of a crime of passion or a sudden provocation.

Accused's Premeditation Uncovered
According to police sources, during questioning, Sahil admitted to acquiring the knife used in the murder from a weekly market about 15 days earlier.

However, he has not disclosed the exact location of the purchase. The police are actively investigating this lead to gather more information about the case.

Accused Flees the City and Gets Arrested
Following the heinous act, Sahil fled the city and evaded law enforcement by turning off his phone. He managed to reach Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh, taking two buses along the way.

On Monday, the Delhi Police apprehended Sahil in Bulandshahr.
