Smriti Irani takes a dig at Congress president Rahul Gandhi and said, ‘he couldn’t even find a desi banana for Amethi’

The war of words between Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress party never gets stopped. Now, Union Minister Smriti Irani has attacked the Congress President Rahul Gandhi in Amethi on Monday.

She said that Congress could not even find a desi banana for Amethi farmer. She said because Congress has gifted the Israeli variety of the plant to the farmers in Amethi.

While taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi, she said that ‘Rahul Gandhi criticises the RSS and Prime Minister Narendra Modi all over the country but he is treading the RSS path of planting banana trees.’

Smriti Irani visit to Amethi also coincides with the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

Since 1980 Lok Sabha election, Amethi has consistently given the vote to Congress party, except 1998 election.

In 2014, Smriti Irani was also fielded by BJP in Amethi but unable to succeed. However, she managed to reduce the total number of votes given to the Congress leaders’.

Once again! She assured to contest the election from Amethi. During her visit, Irani has also delivered her schemes to the gathering.

She said that “we have come with schemes worth Rs 776 lakh for Amethi while Rahulji is distributing Israeli bananas to Amethi.”
