Shocking! Step father sexually assaults 13-year-old daughter in mother's absence; girl pleads 'daddy, don't do this'

Crime against women and especially minor seems like 'never-ending' horrific acts in today's days. As per reports, every day four women are raped or sexually assaulted in every one hour. In another bone-chilling incident, a stepfather sexually assaulted his 13-year-old step daughter who called her 'daddy'. The class 8 girl was assaulted in the absence of her mother, who work in a retailer shop. This alleged act has been reported in Hyderabad.

According to NDTV report, Srujana (named changed) took a lot of courage to speak up against the man whom her widowed mother married eight years ago.

The man sexually assaulted Srujana after she had her first periods in the month of April. Srujana's mother was away at work when the man sexually assaulted her and threatened to not to tell anyone or he will stop taking care of the family any further if she talks about it with anyone.

The minor was scared to tell her mother about the incident. But when four days after the incident, when Srujana's mother was about to leave for work, she cried and told her mother to not to leave her alone at home as 'daddy' has sexually assaulted her.

But when the mother confronted her husband, he first accused her stepdaughter Srujana of lying and then fell at their feet seeking forgiveness, saying he was under the influence of alcohol and drugs. The mother and daughter believed him and forgave me.

The forgiveness did not last for long, again the man 'daddy' sexually assaulted her when her mother was away at work, the girl said. "He beat me, kicked me for telling my mother. I locked myself in the bathroom but he broke open the door. He beat me with a belt and tried to force himself on me,'' she told NDTV.

"They may have heard but did not come to help me, perhaps out of fear. Neighbours don't know he is not my biological father; even my younger brother doesn't know,'' the girl said.

"We had to go to three different police stations, after which my complaint was registered,'' the girl who just stepped in her teens said. After the complaint was filed, the 'step-father' went missing.

The accused has now been taken into custody. Srujuna, meanwhile, contacted a child rights organisation, Balala Hakkula Sangam, seeking help. "I am not safe at home. This could happen again. I told daddy, don't do this. But he did not listen. So I want to go and stay in a hostel and achieve my goal, of joining the police force,'' she told to media.

Srujana says, her mother had always warned her about dangers at home and outside and is grateful of her support when she spoke up.
