Shocking! Honeypreet, rape convict Ram Rahim get invitation from UN body on World Toilet Day
Rape convict Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and his close aide Honeypreet Insan have been invited by United Nations Water for its World Toilet Day event to be held in November.
The official Twitter handle of United Nations arm tweeted to Dera Sacha Sauda chief and his adopted daughter Honeypreet to join the campaign on World Toilet Day.
The tweet posted by the account on Wednesday read: “Dear @insan_honey, we hope you & @Gurmeetramrahim will lend your voice and support #WorldToiletDay (sic).”
Later the Tweet was deleted by the UN arm and in fact the account had tweeted to Singh a day earlier as well.
In both its Tweet, the body has asked for their support in celebrating 'World Toilet Day' which falls on November 19.
There was another tweet posted on Tuesday, which said, "Dear @Gurmeetramrahim, can we count on your support to celebrate toilets on November 19 - #WorldToiletDay? http://www.worldtoiletday.info/."
Ram Rahim has been sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of over Rs 30 lakh.
His rape conviction led to violence in Panchkula and Sirsa in Haryana, leaving 38 people dead and another 264 injured. Isolated incidents of violence were also reported from Delhi and several places in Punjab.
