SC/ST Act Amendment: Bharat Bandh protest intensified across the country as thousands took to streets; drones deployed for surveillance: see pics

The Bharat Bandh protest gets intensified on Thursday as thousands of people took to streets in several parts of the country - Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

As about 35 organizations planned to hold protests all over the country, Security have already been beefed up and prohibitory sections have been imposed under section 144 of the CrPC in parts of Madhya Pradesh and other states.

As thousands of people took to streets in Bihar’s Darbhanga, Arrah, Delhi’s Noida, Uttar Pradesh’s Varansi , Lucknow and other parts of the country. In Lucknow and across Madhya Pradesh, Petrol pump will remain closed. Schools will also remain closed in some parts. In Noida, some group took out protest. There also reports of protest in Rajasthan’s Alwar district. Petrol pump will remain closed from 10 am to 4 pm in Bhopal.
