Sabrimala Temple row: 'We will not submit a review petition,' says CM Pinarayi Vijayan over state BJP's review petion demand

The Supreme Court in its ruling of 4-1 has abolished the rule of not allowing women devotees to enter the Sabrimala temple and has ended the patriarchal rule of the Kerala’s esteemed temple.

The Kerala government respected the order and had that they will be following the verdict and will allow all women devotees to offer prayer inside the Sabrimala temple and full security would be provided.

“We will not allow any one take law & order in their hands. The government will ensure facilities to devotees to go to #SabarimalaTemple and offer prayers. Government will not submit a review petition. We've said in court that we'll implement the order” said Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan.

But the BJP and RSS are not on the same page, as they have threatened to act and protest against the Kerala government, rum by senior CPI(M) leader Pinarayi Vijayan and have issued warning to the government to file a review petition in the court, seeking a ban on the entry of women.

The Sabrimala shrine in Kerala had also expressed disregard with the judgement and had said that it will file a review petition in the Supreme Court, as they won’t allow women devotees due to the tradition being followed.

"The CM is an atheist, he doesn't know anything. How can he decide our faith and religion," said BJP state president Shreedharan Pillai.

"CM (Vijayan) will be responsible tomorrow if anything happens, in case he doesn't file a review petition," said BJP national general secretary Muralidhar Rao.
