RSS, BJP want to break 'mahagathbandhan': Tejashwi Yadav
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday lashed out at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) asserting that the saffron party and the Rashtriya Swayamseval Sangh (RSS) want to break the ' mahagathbandhan', adding that people can see through their conspiracy.
Speaking to ANI, Tejashwi said, "My concern is more towards the development of the state rather than who is doing what and how to get noticed. We believe in work and working together, but the BJP and his alliance only look into all the unwanted issues and make them breaking news on media. That's the reason why we don't take any of these allegations seriously. It's the RSS and the BJP that want to break the grand alliance and people can see through their conspiracy."
Lashing out at BJP president Amit Shah, Tejashwi further stated that the former is trying all means to break us and it will not happen.
"According to the political vendetta, it's not just the State Government, but also the people here who know the truth. Be it political, state or social affairs, the people in Bihar know it very well. They also know whom to support and abide too. Amit Shah had clearly said that he wants to see the BJP in power in every state, so that is the reason why he is trying all means to break us. But I would like to tell him that it will not happen," Tejashwi said.
Earlier in the day, branding BJP leader Sushil Modi 'anti-Bihari', Tejashwi Yadav said he is an outsider who would never care about the state's development.
Tejashwi said, " Sushil Modi is not even a Bihari, he is an outsider - total 'Anti-Bihari'. Why would these people even care about Bihar's development or its peoples' concern? We have been here since ages and we know the state better and its people."
Yesterday, the BJP continued to put pressure on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) case against Tejashwi Yadav and warned that they will not let the House function if an adequate response did not come from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo.
Talking to the media in Patna, senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi said, " Nitish Kumar has no defence so he must immediately suspend Tejashwi Yadav. Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)) is asking for a response since there has been enough delay in the matter. There is a strong case against Lalu Yadav's son. He has to clarify on the anonymous assets."
The RJD and the JD(U) then rubbished the rumours and reports of a crack in the alliance, asserting that the Bihar 'grand alliance' is 'unbreakable'.
The CBI registered a corruption case against Lalu Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi and son Tejashwi Yadav on allegations of awarding the tender for development, maintenance and operation of hotels in Ranchi and Puri in 2006.
The RJD supremo, however, refuted the allegations against him and called it a political conspiracy hatched by the BJP.
