Roveinai Poumai makes India proud, Twitterati welcome the first Naga lady pilot

All around the country, everyone is talking about the women empowerment. A woman from Manipur, Nagaland has yet again proved that women are capable of achieving greater heights.

Roveinai Poumai has become the first Naga lady pilot in India. She has defined the famous quote, “Rising like a phoenix from the ashes”.

Poumai has made the country proud after becoming the first Naga lady pilot in India. Poumai has fought against generations of patriarchy as she became the first girl to bag her pilot’s license in her state. After completing her Commercial Pilot Course and graduating from the Basiar Aviation College in New South Wales, Australia, she has secured a job with the Jet Airways.

She has gained popularity on social networking sites and people are lauding her for the success.
