Remember ‘3 idiots’ famous character Phunsukh Wangdu, who has made us laugh and also inspired that how to do the study without any tensions. Well, if you thought that he was the imaginary character of Raj Kumar Hirani then you must be wrong because it’s a real-life character that inspired ‘Mr. Perfectionist’ Aamir Khan. Sonam Wangchuk, the 52-year-old engineer-turned-educator the real-life character of Rancho in 3 idiots has made the country to feel proud as he has won one of the prestigious awards i.e. Ramon Magsaysay Award, also known as Asian Nobel.

Wangchuk, a Ladakh native, is among the two Indians who have won this year’s Ramon Magsaysay Award. The second Indian who won the Ramon Magsaysay Award 2018 is Bharat Vatwani. He bagged the award for his exceptional work in the rescue and treatment of thousands of street paupers or poor people, who he later reunited with their families.
Sonam, the brainchild behind many revolutionary innovations has proved himself time and again in the field of academics. He is the inventor who believes in sharing knowledge has many a time, which has proven to be an incomparable asset to our country.

After hearing the news about the Magsaysay Award equivalent to Nobel prize has been received by two Indians then social media is flooded with congratulation wishes for the winners.
