Rave party busted in Noida, around 161 men, 31 women arrested; alcohol, intoxicants seized
The Noida police busted a rave party being held illegally at a farmhouse in Noida sector 135 on Saturday night. As many as 192 people were held by the police, including 161 men and 31 women.
At the rave party alcohol and other intoxicants were being served illegally, a senior police officer said. Five people, who were the key organisers of the event were also arrested and 31 hookah, 112 beer bottles, 30 liquor bottles were seized. These items were meant for sale in Delhi, the police said.
"The key organisers have been identified as Amit Tyagi, Pankaj Sharma, Adnan Ahmed, Balesh Kohli, all four from Delhi, and Kapil Singh Bhati, from Ghaziabad," Senior Superintendent of Police, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Vaibhav Krishna said.
"We had got information about such a rave party being held at the farmhouse. A raid was carried out late Saturday night and the information was found true after which 161 men and 31 women were held from the spot," Krishna said.
"Most of those arrested belong to Delhi, while some are from Haryana and only a few are from Noida," he told reporters.
According to reports, the organisers charged Rs 10,000 from the boys who attended the party and it was free of cost for girls. A case has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code against those arrested. Further probe is underway whether few local police personnel were involved in the illegal activity.
