Rajiv Gandhi row: Delhi Dy CM Manish Sisodia clears air on Alka Lamba's resignation over 'Bharat Ratna' remark; calls it rumour

Manish Sisodia has said, “No resignation has been sought and from no one, all these are rumours.”
Earlier, the news of AAP lawmaker Alka Lamba’s resignation were doing the rounds in the Lutyen’s corridor after a resolution was allegedly passed in the Delhi assembly to take back the Bharat Ratna from Rajiv Gandhi amid 1984 anti-Sikh riots verdict by the Delhi High Court.
Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Akali Dal-BJP MLA has said, “Shocking behaviour by Delhi assembly speaker Ram Nivas Goel. A resolution naming Rajiv Gandhi was passed inside the house in front of him but after coming out he says Rajiv Gandhi name was not mentioned.”
Although, AAP lawmaker Jarnail Singh has claimed that “This (Bharat Ratna be taken back from Rajiv Gandhi) wasn’t a part of the original resolution, it was my feeling and I said it. Technically it wasn’t in the notice.”
