Rajasthan: Woman gang-raped in front of husband in Sirohi

In a shocking incident, A 45-year-old woman was allegedly raped in front of her husband by four men on November 9 night in Rajasthan's Sirohi district.

According to the couple, four men barged into their house with the intention of robbing them.

The police swung into action after receiving the information and arrested three accused yesterday. Efforts are being made to trace the fourth accused.

Giving details, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Pindwara) Jethu Singh said the couple was going to sleep when the four men barged into their home and held them hostage.

"They stripped the man and took ₹ 1,400 from him. They demanded more cash and other valuables but the couple had nothing much except some silver jewellery," Singh said.

"When the robbers did not get anything else, they raped the woman in front of her husband," Singh added.

After the incident, the couple was in a trauma and stayed inside the house. They reached the local police station and registered a case on November 10.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
