Rajasthan: Over 102 kg opium seized from truck at Jaipur-Agra Highway, 3 arrested
In a narcotics haul, 95 packets of opium weighing 102.910 kg were seized from a truck by a team of Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN), Neemuch, at the Rajadhok toll plaza on the Jaipur-Agra Highway.
CBN officers were informed that a truck carrying large quantities of opium would be moving from the north-eastern state to Rajasthan on November 15. Acting on a tip-off, officers intercepted the truck and seized opium packets. The packets were concealed in specially built cavities inside the trawler.
In an escape attempt, the drug traffickers tried to ram the truck onto the government vehicle. However, the attempt was foiled.
