Rajasthan: Husband consumes poison 2 days after wife commits suicide
A man tried to commit suicide by consuming poison after his wife’s death in the Barmer district. The relatives rushed Tagaram to a hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.
On the evening of November 17, Tagarm's wife Tipu Devi, a resident of Kagau village, committed suicide by jumping into a ditch.
Her last rites were performed on November 19 after the post-mortem. In the grief of his wife's demise, Tagaram consumed poison and tried to commit suicide.
As per reports, Tipu Devi’s family members have filed a dowry harassment case against her husband – Tagaramm, her mother-in-law, father-in-law, and aunt-in-law.

According to Tagaram, there was no such dispute regarding dowry, however, he also revealed that there was a land dispute between him and his father. For four years, Tagaram and Tipu Devi had been living apart due to a land dispute with his father.
Tagaram’s statement has been recorded, and police are investigating the case from all angles.
