Rajasthan horror: Woman kills daughter, throws body from moving train
In a shocking incident reported from Rajasthan’s Sriganganagar, a married woman murdered her three-year-old daughter and threw her body off of a moving train.
As maintained by police, the woman strangled her daughter on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday and then wrapped her dead body in a bedsheet with the help of her lover. The duo then went to Sriganganagar railway station, boarded the train, and threw the body from the moving train.
The accused, named Sunita and Sunny alias Malta, have been taken into custody, police said. Sunita confessed to killing her daughter, after which the duo were arrested.
"The woman strangled her daughter Kiran, wrapped her body in a bedsheet with Sunny's help, and went to Sriganganagar railway station," Superintendent of Police (Sriganganagar) Anand Sharma told PTI.
"They boarded a train at 6:10 am, and when it reached a bridge on a canal before Fatuhi railway station, they dropped the body from the moving train," Sharma added.
The two accused had made a plan to throw the dead body in the canal, but it fell near the railway tracks. The body was recovered on Thursday.
The woman, who has five children, lives in Shastri Nagar with Sunny and her two daughters, whereas three children stay with her husband.
After identifying the girl body, the police traced Sunita and called her in for interrogation.
In the time of interrogation, the woman confessed to killing her daughter, following which the two accused were arrested, police said.
