Rajasthan: Bajrang Dal worker shot dead in Udaipur
A Bajrang Dal worker in his 30s was allegedly shot dead by two unknown people in Rajasthan’s Udaipur yesterday, January 6.
Udaipur ASP Handrasheel Thakur said that Raju Teli was shot dead in a firing incident and the accused have been identified.
Police have started the investigation and a hunt is on to nab the accused.
Last month, a Bajrang Dal activist was allegedly killed in Assam’s Karimganj district. The 16-year-old activist, Sambhu Koiri, was allegedly stabbed to death in Lowairpua area, triggering tension in the area.
Koiri was allegedly attacked by the accused when he was returning to Karimganj district after attending a training camp of the Bajrang Dal in neighbouring Hailakandi district.

Last year in February, Bajrang Dal activist Harsha was killed in Karnataka’s Shivamogga district, that triggered large-scale violence in the district. According to the National Investigative Agency, the murder was committed to orchestrating communal violence in the backdrop of the hijab controversy.
