Rahul Gandhi attacks BJP after Congress waives off loans in Hindi heartland, says, 'Won't let PM sleep till he waives off farm loans'
The Congress party after waiving off farm loans in under 6 hours in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, has started attacking PM Modi over the agrarian crisis.
Today, in a press conference by Congress president Rahul Gandhi, the leader directly had said that the BJP is responsible for the farmers distress and that it won’t let the Prime Minister “sleep” until he waives off the loans of the farmers.
Rahul Gandhi said, “We will not let PM Modi sleep till he waives of loans of farmers, all opposition parties will unitedly demand this. Till now PM has not waived off a single rupee of farmers.”
Mentioning about the new Congress government in MP and Chhattisgarh, Gandhi said at the press conference in parliament that, “Two states announced farm loan waivers within six hours, the third will also do it soon,” adding that “Now we will do the same in all our states and we won't let Modi ji sleep or rest or sit in peace until we make him waive farmers' loans.”
When asked about the 1984 anti-Sikh riots convict Sajjan Kumar, who was a Congress member until today as he resigned, Rahul Gandhi ducked the question and expressed his concern over riots.
Gandhi said, “I have made my position on the riots very clear, and I have said this before. This press conference is about the farmers of the country and that Mr.Modi refuses to waive off even 1 rupee of loan.”
Meanwhile, mentioning about the Rafale and the JPC, Gandhi said, “JPC, Rafale, farm loan waivers, demonetization, typo errors will soon emerge in everything. People have been lied to, farmers & small traders are being looted. Demonetization is the biggest scam in the world.”
