Rafale Deal: Rahul Gandhi attacks PM Modi in Parliament on Day 2 says, ‘he fled to lecture lovely university students’
Ahead of a debate in Parliament on day 2, Congress President Rahul Gandhi resumed his attack on Twitter on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Rafale deal and accused him in of ‘fleeing’ parliament to avoid facing the questions on Rafale aircraft deal. He mocked PM Modi that he fled Punjab to lecture students at Lovely University.
On Wednesday, during a debate in Lo Sabha the Congress chief had claimed that PM Modi is "hiding in his room" and put up "four questions" on the 59,000 crore deal with France.
On Day two of Parliament debate, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is to field opposition charges as the debate resumes today.
"So it seems our PM has fled Parliament & his own open book Rafale exam and is instead lecturing students at Lovely University in Punjab, today. I request the students there to, respectfully, ask him to please answer the 4 questions posed to him by me, yesterday," tweeted Rahul Gandhi.
On Wednesday, Congress had a clear attack on PM Modi and Goa CM Manohar Parrikar. One of these was pitched as an "open book exam" in parliament. Challenged Modi with a series of questions.
"Tomorrow, the PM faces an Open Book #RafaleDeal Exam in Parliament. Here are the exam questions in advance: Q1. Why 36 aircraft, instead of the 126 the IAF needed? Q2. Why 1,600 Cr instead of 560 Cr per aircraft. Q4. Why AA instead of HAL? Will he show up? Or send a proxy," Mr Gandhi tweeted.
Yesterday, BJP fielded Finance Minister Arun Jaitley against Congress President Rahul Gandhi and oppositions.
