Punjab Congress MPs sell 'potatoes' outside Parliament; alleged Modi govt not listening to farmers’ problems
The Congress MPs from Punjab were seen selling potatoes outside the Parliament to show the plight of the farmers. Several Congress MPs from Punjab raised slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and accused him of 'ignoring' the farmers. Congress senior leader Sunil Jakhar from Punjab also alleged that the central government is not listening to the problems of farmers and is only concerned about big industrialists.
They alleged that the farmers are unable to repay their debts and they are not getting the beneficial value of their products and they have been forced to commit suicide. Here, the Chief Minister of Punjab Amarinder Singh described the prime minister as the worst PM.
Amarinder Singh said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the worst in the country which leaders have seen after independence. This attack from Amarinder Singh has been done a day after Modi's target of Congress on debt forgiveness, 1984 riots and other issues. Singh has challenged the Prime Minister that he has given an example of one of the promises made by his government in the last five years.
Referring to Modi's Gurdaspur rally on Thursday, he said that the Jumalambar Prime Minister has brought the country to the grassroots with his deception and heresy, and people are preparing to take him out of power for good. He said, 'Anyone will think that Modi will go to people with the intention of re-election.' He described the prime minister as the worst leader who saw India after independence.
