Pune: 25-year-old man sexually assaults minor; threatens to throw acid if she reveals

A shocking crime came to light where a minor was sexually assaulted by a 25-year-old man. He also allegedly threatened the girl that if she revealed the incident to her parents then he will throw acid on her. The incident reported from Koregaon Park where the victim stayed with her family and studies at a prominent English Medium school.

According to police, the accused used to stalk the girl and the moment he got the chance he abducted and brought her to Wagholi. Here he exploited the minor sexually and threatened her that if she revealed it to her parents he will through acid on and will viral the video of the illicit act he recorded at that time.

Owing to this warning at first the girl kept quiet, however, later she realized that she could become a target. She then went on to tell her school counsellor about the incident who then told her parents following this her mother immediately approached the police station and narrated the whole incident told by her daughter.

Then police located the accused and on Sunday arrested him. They have charged the accused under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act. Also, they have invoked the Information Technology Act over the concerns of the video.
