Days after the terror attack on CRPF jawans convoy in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama, Security forces on Monday scored a big success by killing top terrorists of Pakistan backed- Jaish-e-Mohammad in an encounter in Pinglan.
Among two terrorists, a mastermind of Pulwama attack Ghazi Rasheed alias Kamran was gunned down on Monday. The gunfight between security forced and terrorists were carried out for over 12 hours in a response to February 14 Pulwama attack in which over 40 soldiers were killed.
Who is Ghazi Rasheed, a Jaish terrorist and mastermind of Pulwama Attack?
- Ghazi Rasheed aka Kamran was a close aide of Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Maulana Masood Azhar.
- Kamran was a Pakistani "chief operational commander" of the Jaish-e-Mohammad.
- Kamaran was a dreaded terrorist, known for radicalizing, recruiting and training terrorists in the Valley.
- Ghazi is believed to have plotted the attack on the CRPF convoy by fielding suicide car bomber in an SUV driven by 19-year-old Adil Ahmad Dar.
-Adil Ahmad Dar who joined Jaish-e-Mohammad last year was recruited and radicalised by Kamran.
Four army personnel were killed during an encounter between terrorists and security forces in Pinglan area of Pulwama district in South Kashmir. Personnel of the 55 Rashtriya Rifles, two battalions of the CRPF and the Special Operation Group of the Jammu and Kashmir police were involved in the encounter.
