PM Modi in Kathua: 'Abuse Modi but you won't be able to separate Kashmir from India'

Ahead of the second phase of 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is back on his campaign trail and has reached Jamuu and Kashmir’s Kathua region and attacked the Opposition over disrespect to armed forces.

PM Modi, while mentioning about the Birth Anniversary of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar and paying his tribute to the martyrs of Jallianwala Bagh massacre, said that the nation’s grand old party has disrespected the soldiers and the martyrs and think that nationalism is an abuse.

PM Modi, while addressing the crowd said, “You have proven the strength of democracy in India, in the first phase of elections. By coming out to vote in huge numbers in Baramulla and Jammu, you have given a befitting reply to the terrorist leaders, opportunists & people in 'mahamilawat'.”

Prime Minister further added that for the Congress party, it’s the Indian Army that has become there only source of money and he referred to the manifesto of the Congress, wherein the party has promised an amendment in the AFSPA act and cut down the forces in Jammu and Kashmir.

“Army is a source to earn money. Congress indulged in corruption in defence deals. In recent days, you have seen the 'mahamilavat' of Congress, NC & PDP. Congress indulges in vote bank politics,” he said during the Kathua rally.

The second phase of polling will be held on April 18 and the BJP is optmistic of forming the government again at the Centre, as PM Modi referred to the ‘lehar’ which he feels is even stronger than 2014 polls.
