PM Modi congratulated ISRO after launching heaviest satellite ‘GSAT 29’ from Sriharikota
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has successfully launched the GSLV MK III-D2 carrying GSAT-29 satellite from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday. It has set a new record for India as it is one of the heaviest launch vehicle, the GSLV Mark III which is also called as ‘Bahubali’ because it has a double carrying capacity of GSLV Mark II.
ISRO took to Twitter to share the information about the successful launch.

After the successful launch, PM Modi has congratulated ISRO for the new success. He took Twitter and wrote, ‘ My heartiest congratulations to our scientists on the successful launch of GSLV MK III-D2 carrying a GSAT-29 satellite. The double success sets a new record of putting the heaviest satellite in orbit by an Indian launch vehicle.
The satellite will provide communication and internet services to the remotest corners of our country.’
