Pariksha Pe Charcha 2.0: Watch mother complains about son playing online games; PM Modi’s ‘PUBG wala’ reply left audience in splits

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with over 2,000 students at New Delhi's Talkatora Stadium on Tuesday in "Pariksha Par Charcha 2.0". While interacting Modi a mother a child complained him about her son avoiding studies and playing online games. Well, Prime Minister’s quick reply to the lady left the audience in laughter.

PM Modi replied, "PUBG-wala hai kya? (is he a PUBG gamer?)" and the audience roared with laughter in the stadium.

“Ye PUBG wala hai kya? Ye samasya bhi hai, samadhaan bhi hai, hum chahe hamare bachhe tech se door chale jayen, fr toh vo ek prakar se piche jana shuru ho jaenge," PM Modi said.

Further Prime Minister took it to a serious note and it was not good to dissuade children from technology. "Explore ways in which you encourage your children towards accepting and understanding technology. But remember, technology should be used to expand our horizons, not to let it shrink us in our life. It should not be allowed to narrow us down, as that would be very harmful for us," he advised.

"Like everything else, technology too comes with its positives and negatives. As parents, we must guide our children to get the most from technology. Encourage their inquisitiveness on learning about various apps... like how to build something, or cook something."

PM Modi said if parents will try to make it happen, children would hopefully move from "PlayStation to the playground".

PUBG is an online multi-player game that is hugely popular among youngsters and has been banned in schools in Gujarat. PUBG was launched in December 2017 and has since acquired a massive fan base in India and worldwide.
