As the countdown for General Election has begun, the political commentary has started to touch the low and now BJP’s MP from Gautam Buddh Nagar Mahesh Sharma has referred Priyanka Gandhi as ‘Pappu’s (Rahul Gandhi) Pappi’ in of his political speech.
Calling out the SP-BSP alliance in UP, TMC in West Bengal and Janta Dal Secular in Karnataka, Sharma added that “Even if Mamata Banerjee came here and did the kathak and the Karnataka CM sang a song, who will watch,” he said and added that Narendra Modi is “above all these leaders.”
“I was sitting in Parliament one row being the PM. The way he (Rahul Gandhi) winked, even I was floored. Now the Pappu says he wants to become a PM. So now Mayawati, Akhilesh Yadav and now Pappu’s Pappi have also come. Wasn’t Priyanka a daughter of the nation before? Wasn’t she Congress’ daughter?”
Sharma, who is the Tourism Minister in the Government of India was quoted saying in the video, “What is a new thing she (Priyanka) will be doing? Wasn’t she daughter of Sonia Gandhi earlier also, or will she cease to be in the future? So first Nehru, then Rajiv, then Sanjay, then Rahul and then Priyanka. There might be just some more Gandhis.”
