Pakistan claims 2 IAF jets shot down, releases video of arrested ‘Indian pilots;' India denies

The day after India strikes Jaish-e-Mohammed main camp in Balakot, 80 km away from LoC, Pakistan violated Indian air space and PAF’s F-16 was shot down by Indian shot down by Indian forces. Earlier, IAF aircraft crashed in Kashmir's Badgam in which 2 pilots were killed. However, Pakistan claims that it has shot down two Indian jets and arrested two Indian pilots.

After which Pakistan released a video of a purported Indian pilot captured on its territory. Pakistan’s military spokesman Major General Asif Ghafoor said one of the pilots is in hospital.

"I am Wing Commander Abhinandan, I am IAF officer. My service No is 27 981," the pilot, who is blindfolded, says in the video issued by the Pakistan Army, according to Press Trust Of India.

In the video, it shows a blindfolded man claiming that he is an officer of the Indian Air Force. The video has been tweeted by Radio Pakistan.

 

Meanwhile, Air Vice Marshal RGK Kapoor confirmed that one aircraft shot down and pilot is missing.

"In response to PAF strikes this morning as released by MoFA, IAF crossed LOC. PAF shot down two Indian aircraft inside Pakistani airspace. One of the aircraft fell inside AJ&K (Pakistan-occupied Kashmir) while others fell inside IOK (the state of Jammu and Kashmir). One Indian pilot arrested by troops on the ground while two in the area," said Pakistan Army spokesperson Major General Asif Ghafoor.
