OMG! Bengaluru man orders gold coin from Flipkart worth Rs 61,000; what he recieved in the box will leave you in shock
Today, online shopping has made our life smoothly as all that Hoch-porch for shopping has now ended up at just a fingertip. But sometimes it results in no lesser than a nightmare. A 33-year-old Bengarulu man, who works with a private firm alleged that he ordered a 20gm gold coin from Flipkart but what he was delivered was 'empty box' from PVC Logistics. The man named Amit Garg placed the order for the gold coin worth Rs 61,755 on December 8, last year.
HAL police said they have registered a case of cheating against online shopping portal, Flipkart and PVC Logistics, based on a complaint lodged by Amit Kumar Garg, a resident of Basavanagar near HAL.
According to Garg, he received a parcel from an employee of PVC Logistics on December 28 and he opened it in front of the delivery boy. He was shocked to find there was no gold coin in the box and asked the delivery boy about it, who suggested he contact the Flipkart helpline.
Police said Garg furnished CCTV footage of unboxing and payment proof to Flipkart. However, the e-commerce major told him that they verify his complaint, but there was no positive response from them. So, he approached HAL police on July 21 and filed a complaint against Flipkart and PVC Logistics. Police said they will probe the incident to know where the gold coin went missing and take action against the culprits.
