Balangir (Odisha): As the currency counting of 176 bags concludes following the Income Tax raids at properties connected to Rajya Sabha MP Dheeraj Sahu, the Income Tax department plans to deposit all the seized cash at the same bank in Balangir SBI main branch on Monday, adhering to official procedures. The SBI's main branch assures the public of regular, smooth functioning, as affirmed by the SBI Regional Manager.

Over Rs 300 Crore Recovered

During the Income Tax raids at properties connected to Rajya Sabha MP Dheeraj Sahu, an astonishing amount of over Rs 300 crore in cash was seized, according to reliable sources.

140 Bags Accounted for, Counting Continues

SBI Regional Manager Bhagat Behera reported on Sunday that out of the 176 bags received, 140 have been accounted for, with the counting of the remaining bags scheduled for Monday.

Congress Distances Itself

In response to the cash recovered at its MP's home, the Congress is distancing itself, asserting that only Dheeraj Sahu can explain the substantial amounts of cash discovered at his business.
