1- Demonetisation anniversary: Jaitley tears into Congress' criticism of economic reforms
Ahead of the one-year anniversary of the demonetisation drive, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Tuesday teared into the Congress over its continual condemnation of the Centre's economic reforms.
"The Congress never took any big step against black money. All that Manmohan Singh has to do is to compare the status of the Indian economy pre-2014 and post-2014. Pre-2014, the Indian economy was marred with policy paralysis, and today there is no agency that doesn't hail the reforms taken in Indian economy by Singh," Jaitley said, while addressing the media, here.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Telangana, Raja Singh, on Tuesday threatened Sanjay Leela Bhansali that he would have to pay if the history was distorted in his upcoming movie 'Padmavati'.
Speaking to ANI, Singh said, "If Padmavati has distorted history, Sanjay Leela Bhansali will have to pay the price. We won't allow its release in Telangana."
3- Gunmen attack Afghan TV station, one killed
Gunmen stormed a television station in Afghanistan, leaving at least one person dead and three others injured.
According to Tolo News, the attack started in the morning when a suicide bomber reportedly detonated a bomb.
Two or three gunmen then stormed the building of Shamshad TV.

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Tuesday said that the investigation into the Paradise Paper leak would be done on the lines of Panama Papers probe.
"The investigation is going on and notices have been sent to the people whose names were figured in the Panama Papers. There are some people whose accounts are illegal. An action is being taken against such people. Some people have said that this is our legal transaction and we have done it with the permission from the RBI. Some people say that this money belongs to the NRIs. So on the basis of merit, we consider these defences. The process, which we had followed at the time of Panama, will be followed in Paradise. All the cases will be considered on the basis of individual merit," Jaitley told the media.
