New Farakka Express Derail: 6 dead and at least 20 injured after 6 coaches derail in UP's Raebareli
A shocking incident occurred in Uttar Pradesh’s Raebareli on Wednesday morning after around 6 coaches of the New Farakka Express derailed.
Reportedly, at least 6 people were dead and 20 were injured after the engine and the coaches of the train derailed in UP’ Raebareli.
As per the reports, the train number 14003 was going towards Allahabad got derail 50 metres from the Harchandpur railway station.
Meanwhile, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has directed the Railway Board Chairman Ashwani Lohani to reach the accident spot.
Also, CM Yogi Adityanath has taken cognisance of the train accident 50 m from Harchandpur railway station. He has directed the DM, SP, health authorities and NDRF to provide all possible relief and rescue.
NDRF teams from Varanasi and Lucknow have been deployed at the spot for rescue operation.
While Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also directed the District Magistrate, Superintendent of Police and medical services personnel to provide all the necessary help during the rescue operation.
As per the reports, the prima facie the derailment was caused by the train entered to the wrong track.
