Mumbai Police opens up on Shilpa Shetty’s role in husband's pornography case
The husband of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra was taken into police custody in a case connected with alleged making of pornographic films and producing them via some apps, a senior official said.
Raj Kumdra, aged 45, appeared to be the main conspirator in the matter, the official said on Monday. At present, Raj has been sent to Police custody untill Friday.
In the meantime, conjectures are being made about the actress Shilpa Shetty’s part in the pronographic case and if she is involved with it in any way. Police said, “We have not been able to any find any active role (of Shilpa Shetty) yet. We are investigating. We will appeal to the victims to come forward and contact the Crime Branch Mumbai and we’ll take appropriate action," joint commissioner of police (Crime), Milind Bharambe said as per Hindustan Times.
Businessman Raj Kundra was arrested by the Crime Branch on Monday after being charged under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the IT Act.
In February 2019, Raj Kundra began a company called Arms Prime Media Pvt Ltd. Six months later, the establishment made a mobile phone application named Hotshot, which has been mentioned by the cops as the porn streaming app.
In the mean time, actress Shilpa Shetty who is at present a judge in a dance show Super Dancer 4, skipped shoot on Thursday following the husband’s arrest. It is being said that Karisma Kapoor will be taking her place as one of the judges.
