Mumbai: Manoj Dubey, Congress worker and Naseem Khan aide stabbed to death over Facebook post against BJP
Congress worker Manoj Dubey, an aide of Naseem Khan was allegedly stabbed to death over the Facebook post on Sunday night. Dubey was killed over his Facebook post against BJP. Congress worker was killed in suburban Ghatkopar near Asalpha area.
Manoj Dubey (45) was stabbed by two or three unidentified assailants near Asalpha Metro Station around 1.30AM, a police official said. He was immediately rushed to Rajawadi hospital where he was declared brought dead. A police team took him to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival, the official added.
According to Maharashtra Times, Bhartiya Yuva Morcha activists have been arrested by the police on charges of killing Dubey after he shared a post against BJP and Bajrang Dal on Facebook.
Dubey's relative told ANI, "He shared a post on Facebook that Congress will form govt in 2019 on which BJP & Bajrang Dal workers posted rude comments. The altercation led to a fight with swords in which he was killed."
The exact reason behind the killing is not yet clear, however, the police officer suspects a political post he had written on social media could have led to the deadliest attack. A case of murder has been registered, he added.
