Mumbai Congress leader showered with cash as he entered a Ganpati event as a guest; video goes viral

A video of Mumbai Congress leader went viral on social media after people showered money on the minister. Yes, Congress leader and former Maharashtra minister Arif Naseem Khan showered with money when he entered the Ganpati event took place on Monday.

Khan is the representative of Chandivali Assembly constituency. The event was organized at Himalaya Mitr Mandal in Chandivali where Khan was invited as a chief guest. In the video, it can be seen that some people showered currency note on him.

However, Khan had refused to apologise and said that it was a tradition of Bhanushali Samaj.

According to the reports of ABP News, Khan told that he visited a Ganpati event which was organized by Bhanushali Samaj. He also said that ‘I am unaware of their traditions.’ Khan also told that there are no questions to apologise. He further added that the organizer should be responsible and answerable for the whole incident.

As soon as the video come to light, the controversy raised on it and BJP spokesperson Madhav Bhandari demanded probe into the matter and also demanded to know that how so much cash was thrown around the minister freely.

On the other hand, Khan called it a ‘political conspiracy’ and also said that it is a tradition of the Bhanushali community to shower currency notes. He also said that ‘and I could not stop them as it would amount to hurting their sentiments. They showered the notes on guests and then donate the same to a Goshala (cowshed) in Kutch. I did not shower currency notes and just stood there to respect their sentiments.’

Also, Khan slammed BJP for not taking any action against Ram Kadam, who had spoken objectionable things about girls in the event and said that they had no rights to criticise him.
