MP Elections 2018: No response from the Election Commission helpline number after reports of faulty EVM
Voting for Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections has begun at 7 am today and amid the polling, the reports of faulty electronic voting machine (EVM) have started coming from the various part of the district.
After the complaints about EVM, at least four EVMs and 14 VVPAT machines have been replaced in the polling booths across the state. As per the reports of news agency ANI, the polling at booth number 204 Maharishi Vidya Mandir in Mandla, it was halted due to the machine was stopped working. Also, polling at booth number 178 at Dabra seat, in Gwalior district was stopped due to the same reason.
Even the voters from Bhopal claimed that they are getting no response from the Election Commission helpline number 1950.
After this chaos, finally, the problem has been solved and faulty machines have been replaced.
While in Madai village in Madhya Pradesh’s Satna district, voters have boycotted polling over the unavailability of schools in the village, reports said.
Meanwhile, 2,899 candidates are contesting the Assembly elections and their fate will be decided by the five crore voters.
