Mayawati attacks PM Modi over Kumbh visit; asks ‘will shahi dip wash away your sins?’
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday took a holy dip in the river Ganges during the Kumbh Mela in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj. The day after PM Modi Kumbh visit, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Mayawati attacked him over his ‘holy bath’ before a national election.
Mayawati on Monday took to her official Twitter to attack PM Modi and asked if his holy bathing in the river Ganga during election season will wash away his sins of "poll promises, treachery and other wrongdoings". Apart from this, BSP supremo also surrounded the central government for the scheme of farmers.
"Will a 'SHAHI' dip in Sangam by PM Modi be able to wash sins of reneging poll promises, treachery and other state wrongs?," Mayawati asked on Twitter, a day after PM Narendra Modi visited Prayagraj.
“Not possible for people to forgive BJP easily for making their life miserable through deeds of Note bandi, GST, Vengeance, Casteism, Communal & Authoritarian rule.” Mayawati tweeted.
Mayawati also criticised PM Modi over the Centre's Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme under which Rs 500 per month will be given to the farmers.
"Modi govt should differentiate between farmers and landless labourers, his Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme of Rs 500 per month may be useful for labourers but not helpful for farmers who want the remunerative price of their produce which BJP govt has failed to ensure. This is a failure," she said.
