As BJP loses one of its stalwart politician, the politics of Goa would never be the same without Manohar Parrikar, who was considered to be the most preferred man to head the state.
Today, the funeral procession will begin at 4pm and PM Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah, Home Minister Rajnath Singh are some of the dignitaries who would be present during the last journey of Goa CM.
Parrikar had been suffering from the pancreatic cancer since last year and had undergone treatment in the US, AIIMS Delhi, Mumabi and Goa.
It was in January, when Manohar Parrikar had said that he would serve Goa until his last breath, and it was a promise kept until Sunday, when he passed away as the serving Chief Minister of Goa.

Thanks to his affable personality and accessible nature, he remained the preferred leader of the state for years. His pro-people policies ensured Goa scales remarkable heights of progress.”
