Mandsaur Gangrape Case: Two accused of raping 7-year-old girl found 'guilty'; Quantum of sentence to be prononuced today
In a horrific gangrape case that happened two months earlier, in the month of June in Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur in which two men were accused of raping class 2 students have been found guilty by a special court. The quantum of sentence to be pronounced today later.
The two accused, Irfan and Asif - were caught within 24 hours of the rape after police examined the photographs and CCTV footage from the neighbourhood after the alleged crime was reportedly committed.
The eight-year-old minor was lured by the two men when she was waiting for her parents, standing outside her school on June 26. The accused, 20-year-old Irfan Khan who took her to a secluded place, raped her, tortured her and then slit her throat before walking away. The minor was critically injured as the accused inserted an iron rod inside her private part that tore her intestine. The doctors are shocked to see her injuries.
Police zoomed in on the CCTV footage in which the child was seen walking with a man and noticed the brand of his new shoes. In addition to the physical evidence, the Special Investigation Team probing the case had included hair samples of the accused, CCTV footage and videos, reported NDTV.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had demanded death penalty for the two accused. This heinous act has triggered a massive outrage over the incident in the Neemuch district. Thousands of people took out a march and submitted a memorandum to the district administration, demanding that the accused be hanged for the crime.
