RJD supremo Lalu Prasad and former Chief Minister Rabri Devi's elder son Tej Pratap gets engaged to former CM Daroga Prasad Rai's granddaughter Aishwarya Rai. During the grand event at a 5-star hotel in Patna, where the whole family was present Tej regret the absence of his jailed father Lalu Prasad.
RJD chief Lalu Prasad was convicted in fodder scam cases and jailed, due to which he was not present at his son's engagement ceremony. Regretting the absence of his father, Tej took Twitter to share his heartfelt.
Tej Pratap Yadav wrote: "Miss you Papa."
According to reports, the marriage ceremony will be held on May 12. However, the ring ceremony is in April month.
The bride to be Aishwarya is the eldest daughter of former minister Chandrika Prasad Rai. The would-be-wife of former health minister hails from Chhapra. Her grandfather was ex-CM of state Daroga Prasad Rai.
Earlier, during a press conference in the state capital, Lalu and his wife Rabri Devi said that they would not take dowry from the family of his two sons Tej Pratap Yadav and Tejaswi Yadav’s wife.
“We are completely against dowry system and will not take one paisa from the bride’s family when my two sons are ready to get married,” Lalu had said according to a media report. "I want a girl who will take care of the house, respect elders like me and not those who go to malls and cinema halls (Cinema hall aur mall jane wali ladki nahi chahiye. Ghar chalaane wali, bade buzurg ka aadar karne wali, jaise ki hum hain, waisi ladki chahiye). We will have to wait and watch to see what she makes of her new daughter-in-law.
