Kerala horror: Man kills wife on suspicion of infidelity
In a shocking incident reported from Kerala’s Varkala, a man, identified as Aneesh, was taken into police custody for murdering his 25-year-old wife, named Nikhita, after an argument broke out between them over her fidelity. The incident took place on Tuesday, September 6, at around 2.30 am.
Varkala is a popular tourist destination located near Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram. As per the police, an argument broke out between Aneesha and Nikhita in the middle of the night, and Nikhita was murdered around 2.30 am inside the bedroom on Tuesday.
“Aneesh had first strangled Nikhita using a towel and tried to hang her from the fan. Unable to do so, he picked up a lamp, stabbed her with it and hit her on the head. She died after bleeding out due to a head wound,” said the police.
Upon hearing the woman’s scream, Aneesh's parents and brother reportedly rushed to the room only to see Nikhita lying down in a pool of blood. Although they rushed her to Varkala Taluk Hospital, she couldn’t be saved.
The couple got married recently, on July 8. Aneesh earned his living as a mechanic in Dubai. The couple had come back to Kerala nearly 10 days back since Aneesh had to undergo leg treatment.
According to police, Aneesh suspected Nikhita’s fidelity and that was the main reason behind her killing. Aneesh and Nikhita were regularly arguing and he suspected that she was having an extramarital affair.
Varkala Police filed a case and are carrying out further investigations.
