In this case, former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda's Janta Dal (S) plays the role of 'Kingmaker'. The voting for in 222 constituency seats in the 224-member state assembly was held on May 12. In 1985, the then Janata Dal formed the government for the second time under the leadership of Ramakrishna Hegde. It is, however, still unclear whether Siddaramaiah coming from the backward class in the event of Congress victory would be the Chief Minister or not. Though the Congress had said that Siddaramaiah would be her face in the elections, he did not announce that Chief Minister would be the same in the event of party's victory.

Siddaramaiah had said on Sunday that if a high court decides, then he will agree to make any Dalit as the Chief Minister. In his political circles, his statement was considered as the point of the alliance with the Janata Dal (S) in the event of a fractured mandate.

The relationship of Congress leader Siddaramaiah has always been tense with the Deve Gowda party. Although in the past he was the leader of the Janata Dal (S). Siddaramaiah had earlier told reporters, "I am convinced that the Congress will win elections with the majority and I will be the Chief Minister."

At the same time, if the BJP wins in the state, then once again it will be taken as a Modi Miracle and in the BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, a new energy transmission in BJP workers for assembly elections to be held later this year will happen. The Janata Dal (S) also claimed its victory and said that the candidate of the Chief Minister's post HD Kumaraswamy would be "King", not "Kingmaker."

Aiming at 2019 Lok Sabha Election top parties are in neck-to-neck-fight to become the 'Karnataka's King'. Well, all the parties are confident to win the distinguish assembly election of 2018 with 222 constituency seat.
