Interpol issues red corner notice against fugitive Mehul Choksi after CBI's request

On the request of CBI, the International Police (Interpol) has issued a red corner notice against fugitive Mehul Choksi who owns Gitanjali and is accused of siphoning off money from Indian banks.

Mehul Choksi is the maternal uncle of Nirav Modi, who is also accused of defaulting loans from the Punjab National Bank up to Rs 15,000 crore and other assests is also waned by the Indian police and several departments.

Mehul Choksi had earlier denied to come to India after he took citizenship of Antigua but the interesting fact is that the Indian government had earlier canceled the passport of Mehul but he still was freely traveling across the countries and now, Interpol has issued a notice against him.
